Tenerife, as part of the Spanish Canary Islands, is a paradise not only for surfers, but for the last few years also for climbers and boulderers. The volcanic island is dotted with boulders and rocky cliffs where a relatively large number of roads and boulders have already been created, and with its small size, all areas are quickly accessible. Provisional Fly & Climb program:

Day 1: Arrival in Tenerife, chill on the beach or evening bouldering in Arico Nuevo

Day 2: bouldering in the morning in Arico Nuevo (5 min from the accommodation), rope climbing in the afternoon or bouldering in Arico Ortiz

Day 3: morning chill, afternoon rope climbing or bouldering in Arico Ortiz

Day 4: rest day - hiking in Teide National Park

Day 5: morning surfing course, afternoon rope climbing or bouldering in Arico Ortiz

Day 6: morning chill, afternoon rope climbing or bouldering in Arico Ortiz

Day 7: a trip through the historic village of Masca combined with climbing in San Marcos

Day 8: departure

Day 4: rest day on the beach, visit to the winery

Day 6: MTB trip on Tenerife trails

Day 7: morning chill, afternoon rope climbing or bouldering in Arico Ortiz

Day 8: departure

 

 

Climbing, bouldering, hiking, surf:
Climbing Tenerife is interesting mainly due to the nature of the volcanic rock. The town of Arico is the epicenter of climbing on the island and most areas are concentrated in its vicinity. Depending on the trip you chose, you will be accomodated right by boulders of Arico Nuevo 10km from the ocean or right by it and there are also beautiful hikes in the surrounding hills and the breathtaking views from them.

 

 

Included:

  • Pick up at Tenerife South airport and transfer back to the airport

  • Transport throughout the week

  • Accommodation in stylish climbing apartments or surf hostel

  • Cooked  or restaurant dinners

  • Crashpads

  • Ropes and quickdraws

  • Climbing assistance and support

 

What you have to arrange yourself:

  • Return ticket to Tenerife (flights to TFS)

  • Insurance

  • Food for the day (sticks, nuts, fruit ...) - buy there

  • Self-catering breakfast

 

What to bring:

  • You will only need your own climbing shoes, chalkbag, harness, belay device and a helmet

  • Clothes and footwear for climbing, hiking/biking

  • Swimsuit and a sea bath towel 

  • Personal belongings

  • Good mood

 

Maximum number of participants per trip: 8

 

 

Condition for participation:

  • Performance on the rocks at least 5 UIAA (5a French, 5.7 US)

  • Performance on boulders at least 5A Fb (V1 US)
